Dear Friend of Turning Point,
Here at Turning Point, Inc., our goal is to maximize services while empowering individuals towards greater independence. We could not do the work we do without the support of friends like you, and we hope that you will consider contributing to our Annual Appeal this year! Your gift ensures that the individuals participating in our programs enjoy full participation and a sense of belonging in our community.
Through our work at TPI, we strive to teach, empower, and encourage the individuals we serve to be self-confident and to make positive contributions to their communities. We are successful when our individuals have a sense of belonging in the world. Having a home in the community and a job or daily activities that provide meaningful and engaging work allows the individuals we serve to feel that they are participating in the community as valued people. This is central to that sense of belonging. This past year, individuals in our program participated in many community activities including:
· A two-hour sailing trip from Newburyport to Salisbury on The Impossible Dream catamaran.
· Adopting a trail along the rail trail in Newburyport where we had staff and individuals participate in preparing, watering, and maintaining the site.
· Participating in a mini-golf tournament and an inclusion walk.
These are just a few of the ways that our programming helps build that sense of community and belonging.
With Your donation of $25, $50, or $100, you are helping to provide individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities with safe and supportive housing as well as adapted supports and wrap-around services critical for their success. You are empowering these individuals to learn living and social skills, become volunteers, land jobs, and find a place of belonging in their communities. In short, you are helping to fulfill their hopes and dreams.
When you donate to Turning Point, you invest in your community. You show that you believe in the possibilities inherent in every human being. You create a more caring, inclusive, accessible, and diverse world, right in your own neighborhood. Help us fulfill hopes and dreams and help us change lives. Please give what you can and thank you again for your support! We could not do this work without you.
Sincerely,
Alan J. Klein
